Introduction to the Project

EvilPunk was a group project in which four game artists and I made a game for a school project. There were originally meant to be two developers, but my teammate who was assigned to our group didn’t want to pursue this study anymore and left right at the start, making me the only developer. As this was only the second game I had ever made, I struggled quite a lot with this project.

Gameplay

EvilPunk is a top-down 2.5D shooter where players use different guns to battle increasing waves of enemies which become progressively harder.

Enemy Types

Walker

A basic, slow enemy that attacks you when you are close to it.

Slasher

Slasher

A big enemy with lots of HP that can be dangerous once it gets close to you.

Bomber

A fast enemy with low HP that explodes when it gets close enough to you.

Gun Selector Functionality

The Gun Selector allows players to switch between weapons during gameplay. This feature is essential as it lets players utilize the various guns in the game.

Outcome

Despite being a solo developer on the project, I am proud of the final result and the experience gained throughout its development. I plan to revisit this game sometime again and give it a full makeover transforming it in a full compelete game
